Born in France, Solène showed a great interest in the arts, and particularly music, from a young age.

After being offered an electric bass for her fourteenth birthday, she began studying music at a local music school. She discovered jazz music during her musicology undergraduate studies in Angers, France, and decided to dedicate herself to the art form. After a successful first year of jazz studies, she chose the upright bass as her main instrument, with a desire to get closer to the traditional sound of jazz.

Admitted to Paris Regional Conservatory (CRR) in 2018, she had the opportunity to make her debut on the vibrant Parisian jazz scene. Two years later, graduating with both a Classical and a Jazz Music Diploma she set her sights on the New World.

She graduated with a Master's Degree from the Manhattan School of Music in 2022, studying there with musicians such as Phil Markowitz, Buster Williams and Rogerio Boccato.
After she returned in France in 2023, she quickly established herself as a sideman of choise on the Paris scene, and gets to play with French jazz legends and new talents. She's also dedicated to teaching, and holds the jazz bass chair position of the Conservatory of Clamart and the Conservatory of the 11th arrondissement in Paris.
